Hello, my name is Louise Essex. After studying for four years at the Institute for Optimum Nutrition in Richmond, I am a fully qualified Nutritional Therapist DipION, BANT (British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine), and Registered Nutritionist with mBANT and CNHC. (Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council). I am also a fully insured Level 3 Personal Trainer.
I discovered nutrition as a tool to regain my health after finding myself overweight and with more aches and pains than a person my age should have. After ignoring my own health and prioritising my family as well as everything else except me, I knew something had to change. Once I addressed my eating habits and lack of daily movement, I realised how the choices we make around food and lifestyle can impact on our physical and mental health more than I ever thought they could. This is when I decided to study nutrition and help other people on the road to optimal health and well being. You can read more about my personal journey in the 'let them eat cake' blog on this site.
